In mild cases, conservative treatment is indicated:<\/p>\n<h2>Valgus: symptoms, causes and treatment<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p>A valgus deformity is an<\/p>\n<p>In adults, this pathology is accompanied by a curvature of the metatarsophalangeal joint of the first toe. The metatarsal bone protrudes outward and forms a painful outgrowth called a bunion, while the other toes end up in a flexed position.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>The deformity is often accompanied by:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>an overlap of the toes;<\/li>\n<li>Painful sensations in the joints;<\/li>\n<li>swelling and redness around the big toe;<\/li>\n<li>Calluses and corns.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Statistically, the disease is more common in women and children. As a result, shoes with a buckled foot are more often sold in women&#039;s versions and for the younger generation.<\/p>\n<p>Broken feet in children, which are discovered during an examination by a pediatrician, are often a congenital defect. The child has a flattened foot and ankle deformity because the ankle is lower than it should be in its normal position.<\/p>\n<p>This not only affects the feet, which are flattened and point inwards, but also the knee and hip joints. The feet look like an X when both feet are placed next to each other.<\/p>\n<p>In children whose foot bones have already formed and in adults in whom the disease is already neglected, it is practically impossible to completely cure clubfoot, but the degree of expression can be reduced. Therefore, prevention and early detection of the deformity are essential and of great importance for successful treatment. Orthopedic shoes for valgus in children purchased in a timely manner by parents can prevent musculoskeletal problems in adulthood.<\/p>\n<h2>Causes of valgus deformities<\/h2>\n<p>In adults, the main factor is arch weakness. Valgus is often preceded by transverse flatfoot, which is aggravated by wearing tight or uncomfortable footwear (including high heels). It follows from this that orthopedic footwear should not be skimped on for adults with a valgus deformity of the big toe if the problem has been diagnosed by an orthopedist.<\/p>\n<p>When the arch of the foot arches, the toes are put under a lot of stress and begin to deform. The thumb is the first to be loaded and extends to the side. Shoes for valgus foot in adults can alleviate the negative effects, significantly reduce pain and prevent profound changes.<\/p>\n<p>A number of conditions contribute to valgus in adults, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Osteoarthritis in the joints of the little fingers;<\/li>\n<li>rheumatoid arthritis, which causes degeneration of joint tissue;<\/li>\n<li>Gout, in which uric acid is not completely eliminated from the body, leading to the formation of sharp crystals in the joints<\/li>\n<li>varicose veins in the lower limbs;<\/li>\n<li>Osteoarthritis (nerve regulation in the foot muscles);<\/li>\n<li>Diabetes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A deformity in which orthopedic footwear for the bunion was not used in a timely manner can lead to complications in the form of chronic bursitis.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>The appearance of the bunion is influenced by occupation and related daily activities:<\/p>\n<p>Such activities put excessive strain on the foot, which means the bony arch can no longer fulfill its function.<\/p>\n<p>Uncomfortable shoes or footwear is one of the factors that contribute to this problem.
